John Heller started his career in visual effects more than 20 years ago. He has worked in many studios like VIFX, Rhythm & Hues, Furious Effects and then he joined FuseFX in 2015. As a VFX Supervisor, he took care of the effects of projects such as RUSH HOUR, OUTSIDERS, THE LAST TYCOON and THE GOOD DOCTOR.

In 2017, Dominik Zimmerle explained the work of Trixter on SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. He then worked on LOST IN SPACE before returning to the MCU with CAPTAIN MARVEL.

The team of FuseFX, composed of Tommy Tran & Kevin Lingenfelser (VFX Supervisors) and Matt Von Brock (CG Supervisor), talk about their work on the Space Battle sequence for this episode of THE ORVILLE:

Marcus Taormina began his visual effects career more than 10 years ago. He has worked on many movies like THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, FURY, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS and BRIGHT.

Rob Bredow has worked in visual effects for almost 25 years. He worked at Sony Pictures Imageworks for 15 years before joining Lucasfilm in 2014 and then became SVP, Executive Creative Director and Head of ILM in 2018. He worked on many films such as STUART LITTLE, CAST AWAY, THE POLAR EXPRESS and MEN IN BLACK 3. Patrick Tubach began his career in visual effects in 1996 at Cinesite. He then joined Industrial Light & Magic in 1999. He worked on many films such as ARMAGEDDON, JURASSIC PARK III, the first three films PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and TRANSFORMERS. As a VFX supervisor, he took care of the effects of films like STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS, TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION and STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. Matt Shumway worked for 10 years at Rhythm & Hues before joining ILM in 2013. He has worked on films such as THE GOLDEN COMPASS, LIFE OF PI, THE REVENANT and STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI.

Greg Steele began his visual effects career at Rhythm & Hues in 2004. He has worked on films such as NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, X: FIRST CLASS and DJANGO UNCHAINED. He then joined Method Studios in 2013. He took care of the effects of films like GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, ANT-MAN, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, GHOST IN THE SHELL and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2.

In 2014, Kelly Port explained to us the work of Digital Domain on MALEFICENT. He then worked on FREE STATE OF JONES and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. He is back in the MCU with AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR.

In 2015, Peter Chiang explained the work of DNEG on EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS. He then worked on STAR TREK BEYOND. Today he tells us about PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING.

Jedediah Smith joined Atomic Fiction in 2013 to work on STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS as a compositing artist. He then works on many films such as THE WALK, DEADPOOL, ALLIED and BLADE RUNNER 2049.
